Selma Sunniva (1994) is a director currently studying at the danish film school Super16. Her work tends to revolve around the lives of people who are somewhat fragile and feel alienated from the world around them.

Selma likes to work in various genres and she is not afraid to experiment. She is deeply interested and dedicated to the portraying of characters, and uses all of her energy on set in intense dialog with the actors.

She does approximately 20 more takes than the average director. This is for enhancing the performance and for the sake of experimentation.

Selma won the Danish Academy Award (Robert) for her short An Example.
